Book Sale

As of March 2020, our Book Sales have been cancelled until further notice.  They will resume when we can do so safely.  We are not accepting book donations at this time.

Friends of Chelsea District Library Used Book Sales take place on the second Saturday of each month from 10am-1pm.

Proceeds go directly to support library programs and events.

Buy a Bag of books for just $5!  Individual books also available at posted prices, or by the inch. 

A small selection of prime condition books is available to purchase from the Friendly Book Store shelves in the library lobby during regular library hours.  Prices as marked.

Donations of used books are always gratefully received by the library. We accept books, music, and movies in a clean and reasonably sound condition. Encyclopedias, textbooks or technical books older than five years, Reader’s Digest condensed books, and issues of National Geographic are not accepted. Donation bins are located underneath the stairs in the main lobby area. All proceeds from the book sale go to support the many wonderful library programs you have come to know and love, including the Summer Reading Program, Comedy Showcase and the Midwest Literary Walk.
